2020-22 In 2020-22 the WANTZ Committee proudly supported MND and Me Foundation which supports people and their families living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in Queensland. The Foundation delivers support programs and funds research into treatments and a cure for MND. After its annual dinner cancellation in 2020 and again in 2021 due to COVID restrictions, WANTZ Committee is pleased to announce that on Friday night, 26th August, 2022, the long-awaited WANTZ Gala Dinner & Dance was finally held! This event was to support the MND and Me Foundation and raise money towards purchasing NeuroNode devices - vital technology that allows people with MND who are losing their voice to continue to communicate with their loved ones. Including funds raised on the night, since 2020 the WANTZ Committee has raised a total of $205,464.00 for Queenslanders living with MND. Thank you to everyone who attended the night and supported the event. A huge thank you to our sponsors for the night - three anonymous donors as well as Avant Mutual, Queensland X-Ray, Arrive Wealth Management and Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology. Thank you also to the Brisbane Jazz Orchestra for their amazing performances on the night.
