2012 In 2012 the WANTZ Committee proudly supported the Cerebral Palsy League of Qld. For over 60 years the Cerebral Palsy League (CPL) has provided vital support and services to bring hope, joy and opportunity to the lives of Queenslanders with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities. Every 18 hours a child is born with cerebral palsy in Australia, making it the most common form of physical disability in childhood. It is widely recognised that early intervention and support can drastically maximise the life opportunities of a child with cerebral palsy. THANK YOU: The WANTZ Committee sincerely thanks the medical community whose combined efforts raised enough funds to enable the WANTZ Committee to purchase a much needed items of equipment for the Cerebral Palsy League of Queensland and also all the individuals, donors and sponsors who donated so generously. We would like to thank Mr. Jack and Mrs. Cynthia Tarry from Snap Printing, Milton who provided all our printing needs at no cost. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation for the help and support from David and Jessica Pugh of Restaurant TWO. Our thanks also to our auctioneer Mr. George Trovas, our MC, Mr. Steven Haddan, and all the donors of the Auction and Raffle Prizes. We also thank The Wine Emporium who have donated the wine for the table prizes and a Raffle Prize. Finally, a big thank you to all our guests at the WANTZ Committee's annual dinner who bid so generously at the auction and bought so many raffle tickets, so that we could purchase much needed equipment for the Cerebral Palsy League of Queensland. AMOUNT RAISED: The WANTZ Committee successfully raised $217,710.00 to buy the much needed equipment on the WANTZ CPL Wish List, none of which would have been possible without the generosity of all our sponsors, donors and guests.
