2017 In 2017 the WANTZ Committee proudly supported Hummingbird House. Hummingbird House, Queensland’s only children’s hospice, provides short stay breaks, family support, creative therapies and care for children with a life-limiting condition, and their families. Hummingbird House includes: Underpinned by the notion of creating a ‘warm embrace’ for children and their families, their multidisciplinary team will provide: Hummingbird House supports families by ensuring they have access to short stay breaks, family support, creative therapies and end of life care. Hummingbird House is a place where kids can be kids, families can reconnect and precious memories can be created. It's a joint initiative of Wesley Mission Queensland and Hummingbird House Foundation. This year the WANTZ Dinner in support of Hummingbird House was held on Friday, 8th September 2017 at Custom's House Long Room. The WANTZ Committee was delighted to be able to raise $181,131.00 on behalf of this worthy cause.
