Mrs. SALLY WARRINE Mrs. Sally Warriner is a Registered Nurse who has lived for 23 years on a cattle station in the Northern Territory. Sally worked in management for Consolidated Pastoral Company, ran the local clinic for the indigenous community on the station, and was active in remote pastoral community and industry organisations. She brought up two step-sons, two foster children, and 3 birth sons. Since moving to Brisbane 7 years ago she has worked in emergency nursing at the Mater and Wesley hospitals. She has done two missions for Medecins sans Frontieres in Sierra Leone in 2005 and the Sudan in 2006, and is currently doing voluntary work for the refugee community. She intends to return to Africa for another mission when her youngest son finishes Uni. Sally was an inaugural member of the WANTZ Committee, representing the letter "W" in the acronym "WANTZ" throughout 2003 and 2004. back |
