2026 In 2026 the WANTZ Committee once again supported MND Queensland, specifically fundraising to purchase MyAirvo2 devices to assist people with MND. As a person with MND declines, the muscles in the mouth and throat waste away, which causes issues with saliva secretions. The MyAirvo 2 devise is crucial for people with MND to loosen airway secretions so that they can breathe normally. Previously an Airvo device was only able to be used in hospitals, so the arrival of the MyAirvo 2 device for use at home allows MND patients to return home to manage their secretions and airway clearance. Each device costs MND and Me $3084. The WANTZ Committee was able to raise over $11,000 to this end, assisting MND Queensland to purchase four devices.
